Driving to Big Bear California.Big Bear California is a small resort town in the mountains east of Las Angles California. To get there you will travel 97 miles, most of it on the CA 210 freeway, Once oyu get to the base of the mountains you will travel the rest of the distance on a small narrow winding road. You can also access Big Bear from I-15 near Barstow. Once you leave I-15 you will travel along a 2-lane road through the valley and then up a narrow steep windy road.
Once in Big bear can go skiing in the winter or mountain biking in the summer. Big Bear is also relatively close to Los Angeles, which is a big city.

This campground has fire rings and picnic tables with bear boxes at each site to store your food safely and securely.

Once you fly in you could camp at one of the many RV parks all around Big Bear, and many of them are close to the airport. Big Bear is a great place to camp because it is close to Los Angeles, but it is also in the mountains so you can get away from the city and enjoy nature.
